The retreat revolves around the theme of Mary: Our Mother, providing participants with an opportunity to deepen their understanding and practice of prayer, sacraments, fellowship, and action through the intercession of Our Lady. Through engaging sessions and interactive discussions, students are encouraged to reflect on their faith journey and explore ways to live out their beliefs in their daily lives.

One of the highlights of Surf, Sand, Son is the inclusion of surfing as a recreational activity.
