Hello! My name is Lilly! I am originally from Jacksonville, Florida, but have lived in Ireland for the last few years. I grew up in a wonderful family with my 5 siblings. Growing up, our daily life consisted of making home movies, Dunkin Donuts, and practicing our zigzag run just in case we’d ever be chased by an alligator. The faith has always been something that was important to my family. After my first, real, personal encounter with Jesus at age 13, I knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my life sharing the Gospel of Jesus. This is my 3rd year with NET Ministries Ireland, and my 1st year serving on staff. I am beyond excited for what this year will bring. Please pray for me!
I am thrilled that Jesus has called me to another year of mission here in Ireland. I am so excited for the opportunity to share the joy & hope that I have received through a relationship with Jesus with the young people here.
Hello! My name is Patrick and I come from the cold country of Canada! I love staying active through hiking, surfing, skateboarding, and playing sports! I also love taking it easy and watching movies and YouTube! Did someone just say YouTube? I LOVE making YouTube videos with my friends! My dream job is to be a film director.
This is my fourth year living in Ireland and my third year with NET. I absolutely love this ministry and being able to share something that has impacted my life in such a massive way - my faith! Ever since I encountered the love of Jesus for the first time when I was 14, I have had the desire to share it with anyone who will listen!
This is my second year with mission staff fir NET Ireland. Last year while discerning what I was going to do, I remember eating lunch at Lough Derg, and suddenly feeling so convicted to follow in the footsteps of St Patrick by remaining in Ireland and specifically on NET Staff!
Hi! My name is Joseph or Joe, aged 21, and I am from the town of Ballybofey, in the land of Donegal. Growing up, sport was a huge part of my childhood. Whether it was playing soccer, Gaelic football or cycling around the house, we were always on the move. I also play the guitar, the piano and percussion. Music is something I love and feel the Lords presence through. The Catholic faith is something that has always been part of my life: my siblings and I grew up going to mass every Sunday and praying in the evenings. I have grown up with NET Ireland and I am super excited to serve on mission
Hello! My name is Emily and I am from a small town in Alberta, Canada. I grew up surrounded by a loving family in a very devout faith. Our faith was something we would constantly be discussing and learning about with each other. It taught me to passionate about the things I love, things like music, friendships, and my faith. This last year I served a year in Castlebar and it was year that changed my life. The Lord used this year to bring me closer to Him and to form a real relationship with Him. I am learning to bring Him into the everyday and trying to trust Him with the little things in life. This year was unpredictable and challenging but I am so thankful for the call that I have been given to be a part of this mission during this crazy time.
Why am I on NET Staff this year? I love what I am doing. I get to lead worship, live in community, and try new things all the time. I am constantly learning and strengthening my relationship with the Lord. I am doing this year on NET Staff because I want to be ready for my vocation and I want a more faith filled future for those that follow me.
My name is Ruby, I'm 21 and am from Winnipeg, Canada.
I grew up in a family of nine - we've now grown to a much bigger number, and if you know me, you'll know I could spend hours showing you pictures and videos of my family. Especially my nieces.
When I'm not doing that, you'll probably find me drinking coffee, trying not to fall off my bike, or listening to Hamilton.
I spent the last two years serving on teams with NET Ireland, and am now starting my first year on mission staff.
Jesus has shown me so much of his unending faithfulness and goodness these past two years and has totally transformed my life for the better.
Because of this, I'm so excited to see all that he has in store for this new chapter!
Since serving with NET, the Lord had given such a sense of belonging and purpose in my life. I want everyone I encounter through my work here to be able to experience that same feeling and more.
Hey everyone! My name is Shaun Hickland and is my third year serving with NET Ministries. I grew up as a Catholic in New Zealand, but the person of Jesus was never a huge focus. But experiencing community, and especially brotherhood, with other people who are striving for holiness has given me a great desire for Sainthood myself. Being with Jesus in silence and adoration continues to increase my awareness how He is working in my life.
Before I left for Ireland, I was on a tertiary chaplaincy team, working with the young adults on my university campus, and really felt Jesus calling me to journey with young people we encountered. Speaking to and listening to these people helped me understand the struggles they came across in their faith journey. I’m still love accompanying young adults in this way because I know it will create beautiful community and return Ireland to the land of Saints and Scholars.
I am here because I want to experience Jesus in my life and the lives of others so I can learn to have conversations that can draw friends and family closer to Christ. I want to renew the Irish church because it is where I got my faith and I want to see it become the land of saints and scholars again.
My name is Mildred Namakula, I am a 31-year-old Ugandan missionary to Ireland. I love adventuring, dancing, meeting new people and talking with people. I love talking about Jesus at any time of the day if I could, nothing else gives me more joy! Over the years, Jesus has showed me the true heart of the Father. I know that I am truly and passionately loved by a Father who will never let go! Jesus is my best friend, the love of my life! He has given me a beautiful awareness of His presence always with me, I am constantly having chats with Him in every moment of my life, He speaks to me constantly in the gentlest way. Life for me seems like dancing with the Love of my life to an endless love song! I have experienced Jesus’ romance and it is so real!
My beautiful relationship with Jesus compels me to evangelise to others to experience Him as well. I envision a world where people know their true identity, His grace, how much they are loved and have an awareness of His presence! I live to embody Jesus such that people will encounter His healing in me!
I am 21 years old and I grew up in Dublin.
Growing up I moved a lot so now I love traveling and visiting new places.
Last year I was an au pair in the US and the Lord called me back home to serve with NET Ireland.
I have served with NET for three years but this is my first year on staff & I am so excited for what the Lord has in store for me this year!
I love sharing the joy of the gospel with others, Jesus has been so faithful to me and I know so many young people in my country who are looking for hope that can only be found in Him. Serving with NET gives me an opportunity to reach out to those young people and let them know that they are loved!
My name is Hannah, I’m 26 and I’m from St. Augustine, Florida. I graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. While attending college, I became involved with FOCUS (the Fellowship Of Catholic University Students) which really caused my faith to grow. After college, I worked as an Engineer in Pennsylvania for a few years. While there, I started up a bible study with my local priest, but I still felt God calling me to more. I felt Him calling me to become a missionary and NET fell into my lap. I said Yes to his call (after a lot of hesitation) and am SO glad I did! I was blessed to be on the Road Team last year and then the Cork Team during Covid. Last year was a total blessing, though not what I expected. I felt God call me to serve him more by joining Missions Staff.
After working in “the real world” and being pretty successful, I was shocked at how unfulfilled I felt. I constantly wanted more. The truth is that success does not fulfil you, not money, or power, or things… only God can fill that void. I’m now trying to spread His good news with as many people as possible. I want others to feel his joy and peace and know that they are loved!
