Are you between the ages of 18 and 30 and excited about your Catholic faith? Are you looking for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure where you can live like a modern-day apostle and share your faith with youth?
"As he was walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon who is called Peter, and his brother Andrew, casting a net into the sea; they were fishermen. He said to them, 'Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.' At once, they left their nets and followed him." (Mt 4:18-20)
We are looking for single men and women to spend nine months sharing the Gospel with 7,000 youth across Ireland. As part of a team, members dedicate themselves to prayer, sacraments, service and fellowship while sharing their faith.
The 1st step to recognizing your call to evangelise is to be open to the grace of God. Be open to the Holy Spirit and pray that Jesus guides you closer to the God the Father. Jesus wants your heart. Yes, that is correct. He wants YOU! Giving your heart over to Christ will be the first step to recognizing a call in any direction to take. So please pray for this grace. Please run to the One that will give you all you need.
The retreat teams minister from September to May across Ireland. As a NET team member, you will travel the country of Ireland to help facilitate 100 to 150 retreats during the year. You will personally share your faith and pray with up to 7000 youth from all over the country. You’ll share what God has done in your life, lead praise and worship, perform dramas, teach young people how to pray, spend a lot of time travelling in a van, form lifelong friendships with your teammates, and learn how to read a road map like nobody’s business. Sounds like a challenge? It is. But don’t worry—we’ll teach you how to do it all.
The parish-based teams implement the Eucharistic-centered program called LIFETEEN by inviting young people to join them in different activities that promote healthy relationships, deeper faith in the sacraments, a personal and active relatioship with Jesus, and impart Christian values found in the traditions of the Roman Catholic faith. Teams will leave the legacy of the program behind when they leave at the end of the ministry year by recruiting and training volunteers in the parish to take over the program. A youth minister will be hired at the end of the teams commitment to ensure the programs longevity.
Sounds good????
Let us help you with discerning God's will to proclaim the gospel. Please request an application through the menu options above and Matt will be happy to walk you through the process and answer any questions you may have.
Do you know where God is calling you?

Are you graduating from your studies?
Are you wanting to take a year off from studies?
Maybe God could be calling you to minister to the youth of Ireland?
If you are Catholic and want to grow in your faith with a team of people (that may turn out to be life-long friends), then you may want to check us out!
If you have an inclination to serve with us, let us know. Remember, sometimes discernment requires opening the doors so that you can walk through them. The first step to find out if being a missionary with NET is the correct fit, is to fill out an application. Let us know so we can begin praying for you and assisting in any way.
"Good can exist without evil, whereas evil cannot exist without good." St. Thomas Aquinas
| Applicants to NET are asked to fill out an application form and obtain two references. NET reviews the application and invites applicants passing this first stage of discernment to one of several interview retreats held across Ireland. During the retreat, applicants have a chance to learn more about the NET commitment through various presentations and activities. NET staff are present to answer the applicants questions and to help the applicant determine whether NET is the best ministry for them. The interview retreats are open only to everyone who is interested in NET, applicants who have contacted NET and have received an invitation to the weekend. Additional retreats may also be organized. Contact the NET office for the latest interview retreat information. |

| Interview Retreat Weekend
The Interview Retreat is an opportunity for us to meet face to face, and for you to get to know us as we get to know you. It involves arriving on the Friday, and staying through Saturday evening. There will be an in person interview on the weekend, as well as a phone interview prior to coming. You will learn about NET's history, prayer life, and lifestyle, as well as having times of prayer and fellowship with the other applicants and NET Interview staff. The most important part of the retreat is growing closer to God, not just whether or not you are accepted for NET. As a matter of fact, most people have great memories of their Interview Retreat.
Please feel free to get in contact with us for any questions you may have.
God Bless you in your discernment. Please pray for our ministry.
